According to the Uptime Institute registry, Beeline Uzbekistan is the first private company in Uzbekistan to receive Tier III certification for a data center design

Beeline Uzbekistan is building a backup data center in Bukhara to make its network more resilient and keep communication and digital services running more reliably for its subscribers. Uptime Institute, an international organization, has reviewed the facility's design and awarded it Tier III Certification of Design Documents (TCDD), confirming that the design meets international reliability requirements.

Mobile networks now carry far more than phone calls. Online payments, video calls and dozens of other services that people and businesses rely on every day all run through an operator's network, and all of them depend on servers housed in data centers. The Bukhara facility will serve as a backup site for Beeline Uzbekistan's most critical network systems, adding an extra layer of resilience to the services its subscribers use.

"Every day, millions of people make calls and use the internet and digital services, and behind all of this is infrastructure that has to keep running around the clock. We are building the Bukhara data center so that our most critical network systems have a dependable backup. It was important to us to have the design reviewed by independent international experts. The more reliable digital infrastructure the country has, the more confidently people, businesses and the government can rely on it," said Gediz Sezgin, Chief Technology and Innovation Officer at Beeline Uzbekistan.

The core requirement of Tier III is that any part of the power and cooling systems can be serviced or repaired without shutting down the servers. This means planned maintenance at such a facility can be carried out without taking equipment offline.

The data center has two server halls with a total of 52 racks, and commissioning is currently underway. Uptime Institute certification is carried out in three stages: design, constructed facility and operations. The Bukhara data center design has completed the first stage.

The data center is also available for hosting the infrastructure of partners and other companies. Beeline Uzbekistan offers its capacity for server equipment and IT infrastructure that require a reliable, highly resilient environment.
