Beelab and UZCARD Launch the UZCARD PAY Contactless Payment Service

Beelab, in partnership with UZCARD, has launched the UZCARD PAY contactless payment service, making NFC payments available for UZCARD cards via Android smartphones for the first time. The service uses tokenization technology, providing an additional level of security and reducing the risk of fraud.

To use the service, users need to link their UZCARD bank card in the Beepul mobile application and simply tap their smartphone on an NFC-enabled POS terminal. This effectively turns a mobile device into a full-fledged payment tool, ensuring fast and convenient payments in everyday situations.

Special attention during the development of the service was paid to the protection of payment data and transaction security. During contactless payments, bank card details are neither transmitted nor stored; instead, a unique digital code (token) is used. This significantly reduces fraud risks and provides enhanced protection of users’ data.

“Now, with UZCARD PAY in the Beepul app, our users can quickly and conveniently pay for purchases in stores, cafés, public transport, and other retail and service locations without using a physical card. A smartphone that is always at hand becomes a full-fledged payment instrument. At the same time, transaction security remains our top priority: during contactless payments, bank card data is neither transmitted nor stored, which guarantees the reliability of the service,” said Anatolii Pavlinov, CEO of Beelab JSC.

At the initial stage, the service is available in the Beepul mobile application. In the future, UZCARD PAY is planned to be launched in other applications of participants of the UZCARD payment system.

Today, more than 100,000 POS terminals across the UZCARD network nationwide already support NFC technology, making UZCARD PAY widely available throughout Uzbekistan’s retail and service infrastructure.
