Beeline Uzbekistan expands the network in the Fergana Valley
Новости
Beeline Uzbekistan is actively developing its infrastructure in the Fergana Valley, installing and upgrading hundreds of base stations. These efforts aim to improve the quality of communication and internet speed for millions of residents in the region.
In recent months, a significant number of base stations have been installed and upgraded in the Fergana Valley. As part of the network expansion project in the Fergana region, 499 base stations have been upgraded, 120 of which are in Kokand. Additionally, 76 new stations have been installed in major cities of the region: Fergana and Margilan. The modernization and installation of base stations have also covered several districts: Tashlak, Kuva, Rishtan, Kushtepa, Altyaryk, Fergana, Bagdad, Uchkuprik, Furkat, Dangara, Uzbekistan, and Buvayda.
In the Andijan region, new capacity equipment was installed on 272 base stations in the following cities and districts: Andijan city, Khanabad, Altinkul, Andijan, Asaka, Balikchi, Jalakuduk, Kurgantepa, Markhamat, Pakhtaabad, Khodjaabad, Shakhrikhan, and Izboskan. Additionally, 46 base stations were put into operation for the first time.
In the Namangan region, 27 new base stations were installed in Namangan city, as well as in Kasansay, Namangan, Turakurgan, Uychi, Chartak, and Chust districts. Furthermore, 244 base stations were upgraded.
Across the entire Fergana Valley, over 1,000 base stations have been upgraded and 150 new base stations with support for 2G/3G/4G technologies have been installed since the beginning of the year. To increase capacity and data transmission speed, the company’s technical specialists have successfully implemented Massive MIMO technology, which ensures simultaneous service for many users and devices in a limited area while maintaining high data transmission speeds and stable performance. This has already yielded excellent results — the average speed per subscriber in the Fergana Valley has increased by almost 50%.
Moreover, to enhance the reliability and speed of data transmission, the capacity of 339 radio relay lines (RRL) has been launched, upgraded, or expanded. These improvements allow for the service of a greater number of subscribers with higher speeds over a significant area.
The share of VoLTE traffic is growing daily across the Fergana Valley. It currently amounts to 86,900 Erlangs per day (1 Erlang corresponds to the continuous use of one voice channel for one hour). In terms of hours, this means a subscriber would need to talk continuously on the phone for nearly 10 years. This signifies that clients can make higher-quality voice calls without leaving the 4G network while simultaneously using the internet. VoLTE also allows for instant call setup since there is no need to switch the call to a 2G or 3G network.
Additionally, the digital operator in the region has conducted refarming and frequency expansion for LTE technology. Currently, the work has been successfully completed in Fergana, Namangan, Kokand, and Andijan. This has increased throughput and data transmission speed, improving the quality of communication and mobile internet speed.
Beeline Uzbekistan continues to invest in network development to provide its subscribers with the best opportunities for communication and access to information, government, fintech, entertainment, educational, and other online services.
