Beeline Uzbekistan and UZINFOCOM, the Unified Integrator responsible for the development and maintenance of Uzbekistan’s state information systems, have signed a memorandum of cooperation aimed at advancing digital solutions in the healthcare sector.
The memorandum provides for the integration of the state electronic appointment system for polyclinics, DMED, into the hambi super app. This solution will allow users to book medical appointments through a single digital interface that brings together government and commercial services.
The project is designed to increase the accessibility of healthcare services and simplify citizens’ interaction with the healthcare system through digital tools. The integration of DMED into hambi is viewed by the parties as part of a systematic effort to expand access to socially significant digital services for millions of people in Uzbekistan and to further develop digital infrastructure in the healthcare sector.
“For Beeline Uzbekistan, the development of digital services with clear practical value is a strategic priority. Integrating electronic appointment booking for polyclinics complements the hambi super app ecosystem, which already includes telemedicine services, and helps improve access to healthcare services nationwide,” said Andrey Pyatakhin, CEO of Beeline Uzbekistan.
Ruslan Sultanov, Director for Healthcare Digitalization at UZINFOCOM, emphasized that cooperation with Beeline Uzbekistan will help expand the reach of digital healthcare services and simplify citizens’ access to electronic appointment booking at medical institutions.
“Integrating DMED into applications with millions of users, such as hambi, will create additional opportunities for citizens and represent an important step in the development of digital healthcare,” he noted. According to him, integrating DMED into a mass digital product is a key milestone in expanding digital capabilities within Uzbekistan’s healthcare system.
The parties view the signed memorandum as a foundation for the phased implementation of the project, taking into account the technical and user readiness of the solutions, as well as a continuation of long-term cooperation in the field of digital government services. Previously, Beeline Uzbekistan was among the first partners in the telecom industry to implement the MyID digital identification system. Expanding digital healthcare services within the hambi super app continues this line of cooperation and aims to improve access to government and socially significant services for millions of people across Uzbekistan.
