Beeline Uzbekistan has won the prestigious EMBRAS World award in the "Good Deeds" category for its Beeline Academy project. Launched a year ago in partnership with the Tashkent International University of Education (TIUE), Beeline Academy provides Uzbekistan's young talents, teachers, and IT professionals with online and offline learning in information technology and cybersecurity.
The Beeline Academy project is Beeline Uzbekistan’s investment in developing the country's IT sector. In 2024, TIUE instructors trained 110 IT teachers from various public schools in Tashkent in Python programming, 3D graphics tools, and front-end development fundamentals. All teachers completed the courses and received certificates.
“Our Beeline Academy helps mentors and young professionals gain the latest knowledge and skills in various IT fields, from development to security. We value this recognition from the HR community and top talent acquisition professionals,” said Sofiya Gaynutdinova, Chief HR&OD Officer at Beeline Uzbekistan.
“This program is important for us as it aims to raise IT education and talent development level, supporting Uzbekistan’s transformation into a Central Asian IT hub. We will continue to expand our social programs, with a new intake for teacher training at Beeline Academy to be announced soon,” said Shahlo Usmanova, Senior Manager for CSR and ESG at Beeline Uzbekistan.
At the start of the project in 2023, Beeline Uzbekistan invested $150,000 into the initiative, aimed at promoting and advancing IT education. The partnership with TIUE enabled the creation of a systemic platform for IT specialist training. Two modern computer labs and a unique interactive video studio were equipped at TIUE. Students and teachers use these facilities to create virtual video lectures, conduct webinars and video conferences, and produce high-quality video content for interactive lessons. In 2023-2024, 50 Beeline Academy participants completed courses in cybersecurity, ranging from beginner to advanced levels.
Previously, Beeline Uzbekistan was recognized with international EMBRAS awards in the "Talent Development" and "Open Dialogue" categories in 2021, and in three categories—"Open Dialogue," "Good Deeds," and "Employer Branding"—in 2022. In 2024, Beeline Uzbekistan became the only technology company in Central Asia to achieve Top Employer certification, highlighting its high standard of corporate culture as a digital operator.
